On June 1, 2023, at 7:00 a.m., search warrants were served at the 23800 block of Nanwood Drive; 23300 block of Rolanda Drive; 13400 block of Elsworth Street; and two locations on the 24100 block of Cottonwood Avenue, all in the city of Moreno Valley. These warrants were served with the assistance of Special Enforcement Teams from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Lake Mathews Station, Lake Elsinore Station, Jurupa Valley Station, Perris Station, and San Jacinto Station, along with assistance from Riverside County Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau- SWAT and Aviation Teams. As a result of the search warrants, numerous items of evidence were recovered.

The shooter in this incident has been identified as 22-year-old Bryan Corona of Moreno Valley and is still at large. Please do not attempt to apprehend Corona as he is believed to be armed and dangerous. If seen, please contact 911 immediately. Details:

On Saturday, May 20, 2023, at approximately 12:49 am, deputies from the Lake Mathews Sheriff Station responded to the 17900 block of Van Buren Blvd in the unincorporated area of Riverside commonly known as Woodcrest regarding a shooting that just occurred. Upon arriving at the location, deputies located two adult males suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Deputies rendered immediate aid to the victims until emergency medical services arrived. The victims were subsequently transported to local hospitals for treatment and are listed in stable condition.

Investigators from Lake Mathews Sheriff’s Station arrived and assumed the investigation which revealed an altercation occurred outside of the business in the parking lot involving several people which led to the gunfire. This is an ongoing investigation and anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to call Investigator Gil of the Lake Mathews Station at 951-272-5600.
