Details:
On November 9, 2019 at 7:15 p.m., Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Deputies assigned to the city of Perris, responded to a report of a traffic collision at Dunlap Drive and San Jacinto Avenue. The driver, Lizbet Diaz, 27-years-old of Riverside, was traveling eastbound on San Jacinto Avenue at a high rate of speed. Diaz collided with two parked vehicles and a pedestrian who was walking on the eastbound shoulder of San Jacinto Avenue. The pedestrian was declared deceased at the scene. During the investigation, deputies determined alcohol was a factor in the collision. Diaz was arrested and booked at Cois Byrd Detention Center after receiving precautionary medical treatment.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department encourages all drivers not to drink and drive. To report drunk drivers, please call 911.
