On Friday, August 18, 2023, at 6:55 a.m., deputies from the Palm Desert Sheriff's Station responded to the 73100 block of Dinah Shore Drive, Rancho Mirage, regarding the theft of a golf cart. With the victim's assistance, deputies were able to track the location of the golf cart to a residence in the 30100 block of Muirfield Way, Cathedral City.
A search warrant was authored and served at the location with the assistance of the Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team and the Palm Desert Station Burglary Suppression Unit. The golf cart was located inside the garage at the residence. The suspect, Greg Peter Sullivan, a 37-year-old male from Cathedral City, was also at the residence. Sullivan was taken into custody and booked at the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio for possession of stolen property.
