On Friday, November 15, 2019, at 11:03 A.M. the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force conducted a probation compliance check at a residence in the 74000 block of Goleta Avenue in Palm Desert. During the probation check, Gang Task Force Officers observed convicted felon Brandon Forero, 25 of Palm Desert, attempting to flee the residence through the backyard with a rifle case in hand. Task Force Officers took Forero into custody without incident and subsequently located a loaded .22 caliber rifle inside the rifle case. During a search of Forero’s vehicle, Task Force Officers located a loaded .38 caliber revolver. Forero was also found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Forero was arrested and transported to the Indio Jail where he was booked for being a Felon in Possession of Firearms, Possession of Narcotics with a Firearm, and Violation of Probation.
