On Tuesday January 23, 2024, through Tuesday January 30, 2024, during the hours of 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM, the Ten West Corporation will be installing new power lines that cross the Colorado River. This evolution is part of a new solar power project between Arizona and California. The location is approximately 5 miles south of the I10, at lat/long coordinates of 33.538553, -114.548401. During this timeframe, the Colorado River will be closed to all boating traffic in the area due to safety concerns. Deputies from Riverside and La Paz Counties will be onsite to enforce this closure. At the conclusion of this project river traffic will resume as normal.
