Attempt Carjacking and Assault with a Deadly Weapon Arrest

Details:

On Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 8:23 p.m., deputies from the Lake Mathews Sheriff’s Station responded to the 8900 block of Cajalco Road in the unincorporated area of Temescal Valley regarding a possible carjacking. Upon arrival, deputies located a suspect armed with a knife who was attempting to assault two victims. Deputies quickly intervened and were able to disarm the suspect and take him into custody. It was later determined the suspect had just attempted to carjack one of the victims before the deputy’s arrival.

The suspect was identified as Aaron Holcomb, a 33-year-old from Corona. Holcomb was later booked into Robert Presley Detention Center for attempted carjacking and assault with a deadly weapon. This is an ongoing investigation, and no additional details are available at this time.
