On October 28, 2019, members of the Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force from Region 7 out of the Jurupa Valley Patrol Station responded to the 5000 block of Troth St. in Jurupa Valley to investigate a felony vandalism to private property. During the course of the investigation, Task Force Officers were able to identify 18-year-old Javier Orozco, a gang member to a local criminal street gang, as the suspect responsible for the vandalism. Orozco is a resident of Jurupa Valley. Task Force Officers submitted their findings to the District Attorney’s office and criminal charges and an arrest warrant was filed. 

On December 13, 2019, Task Force Officers arrested Orozco in connection to the felony vandalism. Shortly thereafter, Task Force Officers and members of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s Special Enforcement Bureau served a search warrant for Orozco’s residence. During the search of Orozco’s residence, evidence was seized related to the felony vandalism. Orozco was later booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center.      


The Region 7 Gang Task Force is one of five teams composing the Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force, which is a collaborative effort of 25 law enforcement agencies with the goal of combating criminal street gangs throughout Riverside County. The Region 7 Gang Task Force is composed of members from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, California Highway Patrol, and Riverside County Probation.
