On Saturday, December 21, 2019, at 8:20 PM, The La Quinta Special Enforcement Team conducted a pedestrian check in the 79100 block of Highway 111, in the city of La Quinta, and contacted Jamie Morris, 34-years-old of Bermuda Dunes. During the contact, Morris was arrested for possession of a methamphetamine smoking pipe. Upon further investigation, it was determined Morris was in possession of 15 grams of methamphetamine, and 44 fentanyl pills with the intent to sell. Morris was booked at the county Jail in Indio.
