Details:

On December 24, 2019, deputies from the Perris Special Enforcement and Problem Oriented Policing Team conducted pro-active patrol in the city of Perris. About 11:30 A.M., deputies conducted a traffic enforcement stop of a vehicle on 5th Street east of F Street. Deputies spoke with the driver who was positively identified as Jacob Deville. Deputies conducted a records check of Deville and learned he had an outstanding felony warrant issued by CDC Parole for his arrest.

During the investigation, deputies learned Deville was a registered sex offender who is required to register pursuant to 290 of the California Penal Code. Deputies learned Deville failed to update his annual sex offender registration information with any law enforcement agency in the state. Deputies also learned Deville was residing at a residence which was not registered with law enforcement. Due to Deville failing to register with law enforcement, the following charges have been filed with the Riverside County District Attorney’s office:

  • 290.012 (a) PC (Failure to complete annual registration requirement).
  • 290.013 (a) PC (Failure to update residential registration information).

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department will proactively investigate any and all criminal offenses occurring in the city of Perris. Anyone with information regarding this investigation is encouraged to contact deputies from the Special Enforcement or Problem Oriented Policing Team at 951-210-1000.
