On January 8, 2020 at approximately 3:36 A.M., an alert Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Deputy, assigned to the city of Perris, observed a suspicious vehicle at a gas station located at North Perris Boulevard and West Nuevo Road, in the city of Perris.  A computer check of the vehicle’s license plate revealed the vehicle had been stolen two days prior.  The deputy detained the driver of the vehicle.  The driver was identified as Victor Hernandez, age 27, from the city of Perris.  Hernandez is currently on Riverside County probation.  Other deputies responded to the scene and a search of the vehicle led to the discovery of 3.5 lbs. of marijuana, small amounts of heroin, methamphetamine, numerous syringes and burglary tools.  Hernandez was arrested and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on numerous charges.  The vehicle was returned to the owner.
