On Saturday, January 11, 2020, about 9:07 a.m., a Temecula Sheriff’s Station patrol deputy, while on routine patrol arrived at the scene of a single vehicle rollover traffic collision that had just occurred on De Portola Road, just east of Calle Arboles.  Upon arriving, the deputy found the involved vehicle, a white Ford F150, overturned and on fire. The driver of the vehicle was found in the roadway unresponsive with obvious signs of trauma. Additional responding deputies assisted with extracting the three other juvenile occupants of the vehicle. Members of the Temecula Sheriff’s Station Traffic Team responded and assumed the investigation.

The preliminary investigation determined the white Ford F150, was travelling a high rate of speed eastbound De Portola Road when it struck the center median curb causing the vehicle to roll over. The vehicle came to rest on its roof in the eastbound lanes and immediately caught on fire.  The driver of the Ford F150 was ejected and pronounced deceased on scene by CDF personnel. The other three juvenile occupants were successfully extracted from the vehicle and transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation and treatment for non-life threating injuries.

The Temecula Sheriff’s Station Traffic Team is conducting a full Investigation.

Anyone with information regarding this fatal traffic collision is encouraged to call Deputy Daniel Hoctor at the Temecula Sheriff Station, 951-696-3000.
