In early January, deputies assigned to the Perris Station Special Enforcement Team received complaints regarding a possible illegal marijuana cultivation operation occurring in the city of Menifee. As a result of the search warrant, 1602 marijuana plants were eradicated. In addition, the electrical system within the residence was illegally altered, causing a severe fire hazard.
