At the direction of Sheriff Chad Bianco, on February 14, 2020, deputies from the Perris Station Special Enforcement Team served an illegal marijuana cultivation search warrant in the 22200 Block of Markham Street, in the unincorporated area of Riverside County known as Mead Valley. As a result of the search warrant, 1,094 marijuana plants in various stages of growth were located inside several greenhouses on the property. All plants were subsequently eradicated. In addition to the marijuana plants, deputies located a firearm inside the main residence. The owner of the property, 64 year-old Alonzo Ivory of Mead Valley, was arrested for illegal marijuana cultivation and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
