Renato Ivan Sanchez

On Saturday, February 15, 2020, at 2:00 AM the suspect, Renato Sanchez was located in the city of Perris and arrested. Sanchez was booked into custody for the murder of Jose Bellozo. 



On Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at 6:11 PM, deputies responded to Paragon Park located at 264 Spectacular Bid Street in Perris, for a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. Deputies arrived within minutes and found an unconscious male adult lying on the ground, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite life-saving efforts by deputies and medical personnel, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim has been identified as 25-year-old Jose Eduardo Bellozo from Perris.

Investigators have identified the suspect as 38-year-old Renato Ivan Sanchez. The area was searched for Sanchez; however, he remains outstanding. Sanchez is currently on parole and is considered armed and dangerous.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department encourages anyone with information on the whereabouts of Sanchez to call Sheriff’s Dispatch at (951) 776-1099 or 911.  Anyone with additional information can also contact Central Homicide Investigator Mullins at (951) 955-2777.
