Update 02/27/2020:

Today, on February 27, 2020, local law enforcement in Cheyenne, Wyoming, conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a silver 2007 GMC, CA License 8BKX913. The sole occupant of the vehicle, Jose Luis Torres Garcia, who was wanted for the triple murder that occurred in the city of Perris on February 17, 2020, was arrested. Also located in the vehicle was 15 pounds of marijuana. We appreciate the public’s assistance with staying vigilant and keeping an eye out for Mr. Garcia.

Update 02/25/2020:

On Monday, 02/17/20, a triple homicide occurred at the Perris Valley Cemetery at 915 N. Perris Blvd in the city of Perris. Jose Luis Torres Garcia has been identified as a suspect in the incident. A felony warrant has been issued for his arrest. Garcia also has two unrelated misdemeanor warrants in Riverside and San Mateo counties. In addition to the vehicle noted above, Garcia is known to drive a motorcycle street bike, possibly a green Kawasaki. The Central Homicide Unit (CHU) has assumed the on-going investigation and is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Garcia. Anyone with information as to Garcia’s whereabouts is encouraged to immediately notify CHU Investigator Loureiro at (951) 955-2777 or contact Riverside County Sheriff’s Dispatch at (951) 776-1099 opt. 5.


Update 02/18/2020:

During the course of this investigation, the decedents were positively identified as Jaime Covarrubias Espindola, 50 years old out of Perris, Jose Maria Aguilar-Espejel, 38 years old out of Perris, and Rodrigo Aguilar-Espejel, 28 years old also out of Perris. Notification to the families of the decedents has been made.

On Monday, February 17, 2020, deputies from the Perris Station responded to the 900 Block of N. Perris Blvd in the city of Perris in regard to a report of three males on the ground unresponsive. Deputies arrived and located three deceased male adults suffering from injuries. Investigators from the Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation. This appears to be an isolated incident and there is no perceived threat to the public. As the investigation continues additional information will be released. The identities of the victims are being withheld pending notification of the victim’s families.
