On 12/20/19, members of Riverside County Gang Task Force Region Six, Perris and Menifee Special Enforcement Teams, Marijuana Eradication Team, and the Riverside County Sheriff’s SWAT team served a search warrant in the 22500 block of Strohm Drive in the unincorporated Riverside county area of Perris.  During the search, five firearms were located, along with an illegal marijuana growing and processing operation.  The Marijuana Eradication Team confiscated 277 marijuana plants in various stages of growth, along with 200 pounds of processed marijuana worth an estimated street value of $180,000.  Two small children were found to be staying in a room at the location which contained several pounds of marijuana and paraphernalia.  Also seized were 13.6 grams of methamphetamine, as well as items indicative of narcotics sales.  Four people, all residents of Perris, were arrested and booked at the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta.

Arrested were:

  • Adam Esparza, age 41 – Felon possessing firearms, Felon possessing ammunition, Possession of methamphetamine while armed, and Possession of narcotics for sales
  • Fransisco Lucatero, age 23 – Marijuana cultivation, Possession of marijuana for sales
  • Manuel Velazquez, age 33 – Felony child endangerment
  • Olga Deniz, age 33 – Felony child endangerment

Bail was set as follows:

  • Esparza $25,000 
  • Velazquez $10,000
  • Deniz $10,000
  • Lucatero $2,500
