On Monday, December 9, 2019, Lake Elsinore Station deputies responded to the 28000 block of W. State Highway 74 in the unincorporated area of Lake Elsinore, regarding a burglary. The business at the location was the Social Work Action Group (S.W.A.G.) which assists the local community with supplying assistance for the homeless and those in need.
During the investigation, the Lake Elsinore Station Investigations Bureau obtained evidentiary leads, which led to the identification of the suspect, Ricardo Gonzalez, a 32-year-old resident of San Bernardino. While attempting to contact Gonzalez, Investigators found he was in-custody for a myriad of other charges at the Coid Bryd Detention Center. On Monday, February 24, 2020, burglary charges were filed against Gonzalez for the S.W.A.G. burglary.
