On Saturday, March 7, 2020, deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of an overturned vehicle in the area of Palomar Street south of Starbuck Circle, in the City of Wildomar. Upon arrival, deputies learned the vehicle was traveling northbound on Palomar Street and left the roadway, continuing onto the dirt shoulder. The vehicle continued down a dirt embankment, rolling several times. The driver and sole occupant was ejected during the collision. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Lake Elsinore Station Traffic Reconstruction Team is conducting a full investigation into the cause of the collision. At this time, it appears alcohol/drugs may be a factor in this collision. Palomar Street, in both directions, was closed for approximately 7 hours during the investigation.
