On Monday, March 09, 2020, at 12:13 PM, Colorado River Station (CRS) deputies responded to an Assault with a Deadly Weapon/Criminal Threats in the 24600 block of School Rd. in the unincorporated area of Ripley, CA. Upon arrival, Deputies detained Travon Tyndale, 24 years old, of Ripley. The investigation revealed that a verbal altercation between Travon and the victim, escalated into a physical altercation. During the assault the victim was knocked to the ground and repeatedly kicked and punched in the face and head. During a break in the fight, Travon left the location, but returned a short time later brandishing a machete. The machete was not used in the assault. Witnesses confirmed that during the verbal altercation Travon threatened to burn the victim’s house down, and threaten to “kill” the victim during the assault.
The victim was later transported to the hospital due to the severity of his injuries.
Travon was booked into the Blythe Jail for assault with a deadly weapon and criminal threats.
