On March 14th, at 8:00 am, Deputies from the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station were called to the 6000 Block of Charles Ave., Jurupa Valley, in regards to a subject who broke into a residence and began strangling one of the occupants. Deputies arrived within minutes and found family members restraining the attacker. Deputies took him into custody without further incident. Shortly after being detained the subject stopped breathing. Paramedics were summoned and deputies began life saving measures. He was taken to the Corona Regional Medical Center where he eventually was pronounced deceased. Positive identification is still pending.
