On Thursday, March 19, 2020, about 9:20 PM, deputies responded to the intersection of Cesar Chavez and Bagdad Avenue within the city of Coachella, reference a hit and run traffic collision. A male was located lying in the roadway with injuries and subsequently transported to a local hospital. The vehicle that struck the male fled the scene prior do deputies arrival.
