On Monday, April 20, 2020 investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET), along with members of the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office’s Cannabis Regulatory Task Force (CRTF), served search warrants at two (2) illegal marijuana dispensaries operating in unincorporated Riverside County. The search warrants were authored in response to numerous citizen complaints and complaints from operators of legal marijuana dispensaries regarding the illegal operations. Upon arrival, investigators located the illegal storefront operations offering various cannabis related products for sale. Employees of the operations were detained and questioned. The investigation is ongoing.
