On Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at 7:00 P.M., members of the Moreno Valley Station’s Problem Oriented Policing Team conducted an occupied vehicle check in the 25300 block of Delphinium Avenue, in the city of Moreno Valley. Deputies contacted Jonathan Broomfield inside the vehicle and determined he was on probation for narcotics sales. A subsequent search of Broomfield’s vehicle revealed a loaded .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun. Deputies later discovered the handgun was stolen. Broomfield was taken into custody and charged with being a Convicted Felon in Possession of a Stolen Firearm and a Convicted Felon in Possession of Ammunition. Broomfield was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Deputy Reese Barbee at (951) 486-6700.
