On Friday, April 24, 2020, at 10:31 AM, deputies from the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station, responded to a report of a bank robbery at the US Bank located in the 25900 block of Iris Avenue, in the city of Moreno Valley. Employees reported the suspect, a black male adult, wearing a dark hat with white writing on the front, dark sunglasses, a dark colored bandana across his face, and a black long-sleeved shirt, passed a note to a bank teller. The note indicated the suspect would “blow up” the bank if he did not receive a large sum of money. The bank manager intervened, and the suspect left the location in a silver four door sedan.

The Moreno Valley Station’s Robbery Burglary Suppression Team assumed the investigation and utilized several investigative techniques to develop leads. Through the diligent work of the Robbery Burglary Suppression Team, as well as the assistance of the US Bank employees, the suspect was identified as Anthony Fucher, a 30-year-old resident of Moreno Valley. On Friday, April 24, 2020, at 10:00 PM, the Robbery Burglary Suppression Team along with the assistance of the Moreno Valley Special Enforcement Team served a search warrant in the 29000 block of Alicante Avenue, in the city of Moreno Valley. During the service of the search warrant, Fucher was taken into custody and evidence related to the crime was recovered from his residence. Fucher was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center and charged with attempt bank robbery.
