The Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station, in cooperation with the City of Moreno Valley and Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire, want to remind residents ALL fireworks are illegal in Moreno Valley. This includes “Safe and Sane” fireworks such as sparklers.
Penalties for selling, possessing, or igniting fireworks include fines, and is some cases arrest for misdemeanor and felony offenses.
Each year we respond to injuries, accidental fires, and noise complaints from illegal fireworks. Be a good neighbor. Consider pets, people with disabilities who are freighted by loud noises, and our military veterans who may suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder PTSD. Do not include fireworks in your celebrations!
To report illegal fireworks please notify our dispatch center at 951-247-8700 and be prepared to give a location and identifying information of those involved.
