On Wednesday, June 18, 2020, at 2:15 p.m., Perris Station deputies responded to the 1300 block of S. Perris Boulevard in the city of Perris regarding a report of a shooting. Deputies arrived within minutes and located two adult males suffering from gunshot wounds. They were transported to a local hospital where they were treated for their injuries.
The Perris Station Robbery/Burglary Suppression Team assumed the investigation. A 16 year-old Moreno Valley resident was identified as one of the shooters and taken into custody with the assistance of the Riverside County Special Enforcement Bureau. He was arrested for attempted murder and robbery and booked into the Southwest Juvenile Hall in Murrieta. A second suspect fled prior to deputies arrival and is still outstanding.
