Details:
On June 17, 2020, at 5:38, Deputies assigned to the Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team (SET) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 74000 block of Highway 111, Palm Desert. The occupant of the vehicle was identified as, Freddy Edgardo Orellana, 28 years out of Indio. Orellana was the primary suspect in an armed robbery that occurred on May 25, 2020, in the 78000 block of Country Club Drive, Palm Desert. SET deputies located a loaded .38 Special handgun in Orellana’s vehicle. This firearm was used during the armed robbery on May 25th. Orellana, who is a convicted felon, was arrested and transported to the John Benoit Detention Center for the armed robbery, and possession of the loaded firearm.
