Details:
On June 26, 2020, a grand theft and an armed robbery occurred within the unincorporated area of Thermal and city of Coachella. The Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT) assumed the investigation. On today’s date at 5:12 PM, CCAT served a search warrant in the 85200 block of Cairo Avenue within the city of Coachella. Hernan Bustamante, 28 of Coachella was arrested for armed robbery, conspiracy, possession of a loaded firearm, grand theft and child endangerment. Joel Leal, 26 of Coachella was arrested for armed robbery, conspiracy, felon in possession of a firearm and grand theft. Both were booked at the jail.
