On Sunday, July 5, 2020, deputies from the San Jacinto Station responded to the 700 block of Torino Avenue in San Jacinto to investigate a report of a shooting. When deputies arrived, they located an adult male and a male juvenile suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Both subjects were transported to a local hospital to receive treatment for their wounds.  The male juvenile, Humberto Kolb, a 15 year old from San Jacinto, died at the hospital while receiving care for his injuries. The adult male, Jaime Madrid, a 25 year old from Banning, is expected to recover from his injuries. Investigators from San Jacinto Station and the Central Homicide Unit responded and learned that Kolb and Madrid were both involved in a fight which led to them shooting each other. No arrests have been made at this time and there are no outstanding suspects.
