On Thursday, June 18, 2020, at 7:57 pm, San Jacinto Station deputies responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call in the 1000 block of Evans Street, San Jacinto.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered the 52-year-old male victim with serious injuries inside the residence. The victim was transported by ambulance to a local area hospital where they underwent emergency surgery.
The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Andrew Alvarez of San Jacinto, fled the location before deputies arrived. Information was developed, leading to Alvarez’s discovery near the intersection of Las Rosas Drive and Evans Street. Alvarez was taken into custody without further incident. Alvarez was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center and charged with attempted murder with bail set at $1,000,000.
