On Thursday, July 9, 2020, at 7:00 A.M., personnel from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department assigned to the Cabazon Station, with the assistance of Riverside County Code Enforcement, served marijuana cultivation related search warrants in the unincorporated community of Cabazon. During the service of the warrants, a total of 1,879 marijuana plants were eradicated, with an estimated weight of .56 of a ton.
The following suspects were arrested for Marijuana Cultivation and booked into jail:
55-year-old Cabazon resident Vansy Santisouk
23-year-old Cabazon resident Rodolfo Martinez
The goal of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is to keep all of our citizens safe while also improving the quality of life for those residing within the community. Marijuana cultivation negatively impacts the environment in many ways, including diminishing and poisoning the water table and pesticides adversely affecting the health of neighboring residents.
