Palm Desert Station Special Enforcement Team (SET), conducted further investigation regarding a copper theft from a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) radar tower that occurred on June 02, 2020, in the unincorporated area of Edom Hill x Varner Road, Thousand Palms. The radar tower had damages exceeding $50,000.00. SET Deputies identified Caleb Wilcox, 43 of Thousand Palms, as the primary suspect. On July 10, 2020, SET Deputies located and arrested Wilcox in the 73000 block of Ramon Road, Thousand Palms for the Grand Theft and Felony Vandalism. Wilcox was transported to the Riverside County Jail in Banning.
