Details:
On July 13, 2020, the Thermal Station Agricultural Liaison Deputy, along with the Southern Coachella Community Services District (SCVCSD) Deputies, conducted a probation/compliance check regarding a burglary investigation. The victims of the burglary included the Oasis community Waste Management , and the Mecca College of the Desert. The investigation lead deputies to the 99000 block of Corvina Drive in the unincorporated community of Mecca. Deputies recovered property associated to multiple burglaries, stolen vehicles, and stolen license plates. The suspect was identified as Carlos Cholico Alvarado (28 years), he was arrested and booked at the John Benoit Detention Center.
