Details:
On Sunday, July 19, 2020, about 1:25 PM, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Perris Station responded to a major injury traffic collision near the intersection of W. Nuevo Road x N. Perris Blvd., in the city of Perris. Deputies arrived within minutes and located a collision involving a gray 2019 Chevrolet Trax and a pedestrian. The pedestrian suffered major trauma and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The identity of the pedestrian is not being released at this time. The driver of the Chevrolet Trax was transported to the Perris Sheriff Station for questioning. It is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in this collision, the investigation is on-going.
The Perris Traffic Reconstruction Team responded to the location and assumed the investigation.
