Details:

On Monday, July 20, 2020 at 10:43 PM deputies were on routine patrol in the area of Autumn Sage and Valley Vista when they saw an occupied white Mercedes. A check of the license plate revealed it was a vehicle stolen during a carjacking in Buena Park. A vehicle stop was conducted and Thomas Truehill Lopez, 32 years old from La Mirada, was taken into custody. Methamphetamine was found on the suspect and the victim’s stolen property was located inside the vehicle. The suspect was arrested for carjacking, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance. Buena Park Police Department will be following up carjacking investigation as it occurred in their city.
