The decedent was identified as Leonard Garcia, 31 years old resident of Coachella.
Details:
On July 22, 2020, deputies from the Thermal Sheriff Station responded to a report of a man down at Ave. 49 and Calle Abelia. Upon arrival, deputies located a deceased male, and secured a crime scene. Investigators from the Thermal Sheriff Station and the Central Homicide Unit responded and began their investigation.
The identity of the decedent will not be released at this time, pending notification to next of kin. This is an active investigation and no additional details are available at this time.
