On Monday, July 27, 2020, about 5:00 PM, Jurupa Valley Special Enforcement Team deputies conducted a traffic enforcement stop near the intersection of Mission Boulevard and Pacific avenue in the city of Jurupa Valley.  The driver, Michael Clawson a 35-year-old resident of the state of Arizona, and passenger, David Browning a 29-year-old resident of Riverside, were detained. Browning had an out of state misdemeanor warrant and both were removed from the vehicle.  Clawson was in possession of brass knuckles, the search of the vehicle resulted in the location and seizure of two semi-automatic loaded handguns, not registered to Clawson or Browning. 

Clawson has several felony convictions in Riverside county. Clawson was arrested for being a felon in possession of firearms, felon in possession of ammunition, brass knuckles and carrying a loaded firearm in public. Browning was arrested for committing a felony while on bail on an illegal firearm possession and possession of loaded firearms. Clawson and Browning were later booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center.
