On July 23, 2020, deputies from the Perris Station Special Enforcement Team learned of several illegal marijuana grows operating in the unincorporated area of Homeland. The investigation led deputies to obtain search warrants for three different properties. At the direction of Sheriff Chad Bianco, the search warrants were served on July 30, 2020. A search of all three properties yielded 4,000 marijuana plants in various stages of growth. All marijuana plants were subsequently eradicated from the property. Deputies also recovered several firearms.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is committed to improving the quality of life for all who reside in the community. “Community Policing” involves partnerships between law enforcement and community members.
