On August 5, 2020, at 8:34 am, Palm Desert Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an in-progress burglary located in the 72000 block of Desert Drive, Rancho Mirage. The victim had surveillance footage depicting the suspect shattering the bedroom window, and entering the residence. Upon deputies arrival, the suspect fled from the residence. An area check was completed, where the suspect was located in the 72000 block of Highway 111, Rancho Mirage. The suspect was identified as, Reese Westenberger, 55 years of Anaheim. During his arrest, Westenberger was in possession of the victims property. Westenberger was transported to the Riverside County Jail in Indio.
