Deputies assigned to the La Quinta Special Enforcement Team assumed the investigation. On August 13, 2020, about 9:30 PM, the suspect, Jeffrey Cook, 35 of La Quinta was arrested for felony domestic battery and booked at the jail.

Details:
On August 13th, 2020 around 12:34 AM, Thermal Station deputies assigned to the city of La Quinta responded to a residence in the 53200 block of Avenida Juarez regarding an unknown trouble call for service. Investigation revealed a domestic battery occurred at the residence. It was believed the suspect was inside the residence and deputies surrounded the location. Numerous attempts were made to contact the suspect; however, they were unsuccessful. Riverside Sheriff’s Department SWAT responded and assumed control of the incident. The suspect was not found in the residence. This investigation is still on going.
