Details:

On August 13, 2020 the Murrieta-Temecula Regional Gang Task Force coordinated the service of 4 search warrants in the cities of Murrieta, Temecula, and Brea (Orange County).  The search warrants were related to suspected illegal activity occurring within a local motorcycle club. 

Participating teams included the Murrieta Police Department’s Community Policing Team (CPT), Special Enforcement Team (SET), School Resource Officers (SRO’s), Hemet Police Department’s R.O.C.S. Team, Riverside Sheriff Department’s, Temecula Southwest Station’s P.O.P., S.E.T., and H.O.T. Teams, Brea Police Department’s Special Investigations Team, Region 3 Gang Task Force (Hemet/San Jacinto), Cois Byrd Detention Center Gang Intelligence Unit, and Region 6 Gang Task Force (Perris/Lake Elsinore). A total of four persons were arrested on felony charges ranging from weapons, narcotics, and felony warrants. 

Some of the items seized were 11 handguns / rifles, ammunition, large capacity magazines, gang indicia related to an outlaw motorcycle gang, methamphetamine, and other controlled substances.  Components of a drug manufacturing lab were located at one residence in Temecula causing a response from the RSO Special Investigations Bureau Lab Team.  Additional filings are possible in the future against the arrestees.
