In August of 2020, deputies from the Perris Station Special Enforcement Team learned of numerous illegal outdoor residential marijuana grows. Deputies served search warrants at various residences and located a total of 669 marijuana plants in various stages of growth, 40 pounds of processed marijuana, and one firearm. All the marijuana plants were subsequently eradicated from the properties. Pedro Blas, age 29 of Lake Elsinore, and Tzitzicpandacuare Pacheco, age 21, of Mexico, were arrested and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for cultivation of marijuana.

The goal of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is to keep our citizens safe while also improving the quality of life for those residing within the community. Outdoor marijuana cultivation negatively impacts the neighborhoods, property value and environment. It diminishes and poisons the water table and pesticides adversely affect the health of neighboring residents.  The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department has a zero-tolerance policy for these offenses.  If you suspect drug activity in your area, please contact your local Sheriff’s Station.
