Details:

On September 11, 2020, deputies from the Perris Station Problem Special Enforcement Team learned of an illegal indoor residential marijuana grow operating on the 600 Block of west 4th Street, in the city of Perris. Deputies served a search warrant at the location.  During the service of the warrant, 27-year-old Offor Godspower of Perris, 27-year-old Khari Brown of Maryland, and 31-year-old James Junker of Riverside were detained inside the residence.  A search of the property yielded 800 marijuana plants in various stages of growth and 15 pounds of processed marijuana.  All marijuana plants were subsequently eradicated from the property.  Godspower, Brown and Junker were later booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for illegal marijuana cultivation.  Southern California Edison responded and located an illegal electrical by-pass inside the residence.

The goal of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is to keep all of our citizens safe while also improving the quality of life for those residing within the community.  Indoor marijuana cultivation negatively impacts the neighborhoods, property value and environment. It diminishes and poisons the water table and pesticides adversely affecting the health of neighboring residents.  The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department has a zero-tolerance policy for these offenses.  If you suspect drug activity in your area, please contact your local Sheriff’s Station.

This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact Deputy Patrick Barr or Deputy Robert Castellanos at the Perris Station by calling 951-210-1110.
