Details:
On Thursday, October 22, 2020 about 2:22 PM, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Lake Elsinore Station, responded to a report of a two-vehicle traffic collision on Avenue 6, north of Bancroft Way, Lake Elsinore. Upon the deputy’s arrival, they discovered a motorcycle rider with life threatening injuries. He was transported to Inland Valley Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
The preliminary investigation indicates the deceased male was driving a 2005 Harley Davidson (Motorcycle) south bound on Avenue 6 at a high rate of speed. The driver appears to have lost control of the motorcycle and slid into oncoming traffic. He collided with a vehicle traveling northbound on Avenue 6. The cause of this collision is still under investigation, and it is unknown if alcohol may be a factor.
The identity of the deceased will be released by the coroner’s office once positive identification can be established, and next of kin can be notified. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact Deputy Timothy Wisniewski of the Lake Elsinore Station’s Traffic Team at (951)-245-3300.
