On Wednesday, November 12th, 2020, at 9:44 P.M., members of the Moreno Valley Station’s Special Enforcement Team conducted a traffic stop in the 13000 block of Perris Boulevard, in the city of Moreno Valley. Deputies contacted, Trevor Douglas, a 32-year-old resident of Moreno Valley and Jonathan Stemen, a 31-year-old resident of Moreno Valley. Deputies discovered Stemen had a warrant for his arrest. A subsequent search of Stemen’s person revealed a loaded 9mm handgun in his waistband. Douglas gave deputies consent to search his vehicle. A subsequent search of Douglas’ vehicle revealed a .22 caliber bolt action rifle, a .45 caliber handgun, a 9mm handgun, 4 grams of methamphetamine, and numerous rounds of ammunition in various calibers. During the investigation deputies learned Douglas and Stemen possessed additional firearms at their residences.
At 11:13 P.M., members of the Moreno Valley Station’s Special Enforcement Team conducted a search of Stemen’s residence located in the 25000 block of Cottonwood Avenue, in the city of Moreno Valley. During a search of Stemen’s residence, deputies located an AR-15 rifle, 4 high capacity rifle magazines, various handgun components, and numerous rounds of ammunition in various calibers.
On Thursday, November 13th, 2020, at 12:00 A.M., members of the Moreno Valley Station’s Special Enforcement Team conducted a search of Douglas’ residence located in the 25000 block of Casa Fantastico, in the city of Moreno Valley. During a search of Douglas’ residence, deputies located a .45 caliber revolver, 3 rifles, a 12-gauge shotgun, various handgun and rifle components, numerous rounds of ammunition in various calibers, various handgun magazines, one ounce of methamphetamine, and a military grade ballistic plate carrier.
Douglas was taken into custody and charged with being a Felon Possession of a Firearm, Felon in Possession of Ammunition, Felon in Possession of a Loaded Firearm, Felon in Possession of a Loaded Firearm and Narcotics and several other felony charges. Stemen was charged with being in Possession of a Concealed Firearm. Douglas and Stemen were booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center.
