Details: 

On August 20, 2019, a purse theft occurred at a business in Murrieta. The victim’s credit cards were fraudulently used following the purse theft at several stores in Murrieta and Lake Elsinore. A 35 year old male identified as Jeffrey Cole was seen on video using the cards. On August 22, 2019 at 2145 hours, members of the Murrieta-Temecula Regional Gang Task Force located Cole driving a vehicle in Wildomar. A traffic stop was conducted and Cole was arrested without incident. Cole is on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS).

Jeffrey Cole, a documented criminal street gang member was eventually booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center on felony charges. Case Number – GS192340001

The Murrieta-Temecula Regional Gang Task Force is one of 5 teams which compose the Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force which is a collaborative effort of 25 law enforcement agencies with the goal of combating criminal street gangs. 

The Murrieta-Temecula Regional Gang Task Force is staffed with members from the California Highway Patrol, United States Border Patrol, Murrieta Police Department, Riverside County Probation Department, and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
