On Friday, December 4, 2020, at 9:30 A.M., the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force conducted a follow-up investigation into a shooting that occurred on September 20, at a residence in the 47000 block of Dune Palms Road in the City of La Quinta.  During that incident, three juveniles standing outside their residence were shot at multiple times by a suspect with a handgun. The victims were not struck by the gunfire. 

Gang Task Force Officers identified the suspect as a 17-year-old male juvenile. Gang Task Force Officers located the suspect at a residence in the 68000 block of Estio Road in Cathedral City where they arrested the suspect without incident. Gang Task Force Officers later served a search warrant related to the investigation at a residence in the 81000 block of Fred Waring in the city of Indio. Gang Task Force Officers located evidence related to the shooting inside the residence.

The 17-year-old male juvenile was subsequently booked at Juvenile Hall in Indio for Attempted Homicide.
