Details:
On Sunday, January 24, 2021, at 10:21 A.M., deputies from the Cabazon Station responded to a business parking lot in the 48300 block of Seminole Drive, Cabazon, in reference to an assault with a deadly weapon. The investigation revealed the three victims were sitting in their parked vehicle at the above business parking lot when they were approached by a suspect and an argument ensued between the suspect and one of the victims. The suspect brandished a firearm and began firing at the victims in their vehicle.
Two of the victims sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to a local hospital. The wounded victims are expected to survive their injuries but remain hospitalized in critical condition.
The suspect was identified as Erick Jones a 43-year-old resident of North Las Vegas. After an extensive search, Jones was located in San Bernardino County and was arrested and booked into jail for three counts of attempted murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
