Details:

From January 11, 2021 to February 11, 2021, the Lake Elsinore Sheriff Station's Special Enforcement Team conducted a zero tolerance/quality of life operation and Homeless Outreach in the cities of Lake Elsinore and Wildomar as well as in the unincorporated areas of Lakeland Village and Temescal Canyon, in conjunction with the city of Lake Elsinore Code Enforcement, County of Riverside West County Code Enforcement, and the Social Work Action Group (SWAG). The team concentrated on frequently described "problem areas," throughout the respective areas.

In a collaborative effort, numerous subjects were contacted and arrested for various crimes related to quality of life. A total of 109 arrests (95 Misdemeanors and 14 felonies) were made for crimes related to quality of life. All individuals have had, and will continue to have, access to resources which will assist them in ending their endless cycle of homelessness. 44 individuals accepted services and will be entering a program for substance abuse treatment upon their release from custody. 24 tons of rubbish were removed from the community with an additional 5 tons of rubbish removed by property owners. The Lake Elsinore Sheriff's Station deputies continuously strive to ensure the citizens of Lake Elsinore, Wildomar and surrounding unincorporated areas such as Lakeland Village and Temescal Valley, live and function comfortably and are able to enjoy the activities of daily living unimpeded.

As a reminder, "Community Policing" involves partnerships between law enforcement and community members. Business owners and residents are encouraged to report criminal activity directly to law enforcement by calling Sheriff's Dispatch at (951) 776-1099, or by calling 911 if the matter is an emergency.
