Details:
On Monday, February 8, 2021, about 10:00 AM, deputies from the Cabazon Station were dispatched to a report of stolen construction equipment in the unincorporated area of Whitewater. Deputies recognized the suspect vehicle description given by the reporting party and responded to the 55000 block of Arroyo Avenue in Whitewater. There they contacted Michael Caccavari who was detained after a short struggle with deputies.
A search warrant was served at Caccavari’s residence. 6 firearms, one of which was not serialized, and narcotics were in Caccavari’s residence.
During the investigation, Michael Caccavari (37 years-old from Whitewater) was arrested for weapons violations, possession of narcotics, and Resisting Arrest. No one was injured during the incident.
